<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve reliability of a particulate estimated quantity estimated on the basis of an engine operating condition. <P>SOLUTION: This particulate deposit quantity calculating device has an estimating means for determining an estimate value of a particulate deposit quantity on the basis of an engine speed and a load of at least an engine, and a means for calculating the deposit quantity of particulates on the basis of a difference in exhaust pressure between an inlet and an outlet of a particulate filter; and performs estimation thereafter by setting a particulate estimated value in the estimating means to this deposit quantity when the calculated deposit quantity exceeds the particulate estimated value; and can enhance reliability of estimation by eliminating accumulation of an error by simulation; and also selects a larger value by comparing the particulate estimated value with the calculated deposit quantity. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT</p> |
