PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a torque control device for an internal combustion engine capable of controlling engine torque in suitable timing based on a rotation state of the internal combustion engine without being influenced by detection error of a rotation speed sensor in acceleration and deceleration of a vehicle, and capable of surely restraining longitudinal vibration caused by resonance of a driving system. SOLUTION: This torque control device restrains a throttle opening THfnl to be almost a half when acceleration operation is performed in order to accelerate, and releases torque restraining when a delay period corresponding to a quarter of a resonance cycle of the driving system passes after engine acceleration dNe which is a differential value of an engine rotation speed Ne is reversed from positive to negative.
