Defoaming of a low viscosity food or animal feed or additives for such products involves (1) continuously suctioning the low viscosity material in a pressure vessel such that a permanent sub-pressure is obtained and the volume of the material is greatly increased; and (2) transferring the expanded material to an equilibrium vessel under normal pressure where the material collapses to give a complete de-gassing without a lowering in quality.
