A rotary hinge device for a mobile communication terminal is provided to enable a cover to be opened by using small power of an elastic spring through a simple structure, thereby reducing frictional force during rotation of the cover and reducing impact when the cover is stopped in a complete open position. A fixing part(10) is fixed in a side of a body or a cover and combined. A rotating part(20) is combined to be rotated by a rotating axis(15) in the fixing part(10). A cam part(30) is fixed in a side of the fixing part(10) and formed as a plane cam having a cam side(31) in an outer circumstance, and at least one or more fixing grooves are formed at regular distances along the cam side(31). A slider(40) is equipped to move forward and backward for the cam part(30) in a side of the rotating part(20). A cam operating roller(50) is rotatably axis-combined in a side of the slider(40) and rotated by being roll-touched to the cam side(31) of the cam part(30). At least one or more elastic spring(60) is combined in a side of the rotating part(20) and elastically supports the slider(40). A stumbling projection(70) is equipped to be projected toward the rotating part(20) in a side of the fixing part(10). A stopper(80) is equipped to be projected toward the fixing part(10) in a side of the rotating part(20).
