#CMT# #/CMT# The device has a subtracter (4) determining a difference between input and output signals. Processing branches (61, 62) are arranged, where the device sends the result of the difference on one of the branches based on the difference value. A summer (8) adds signals from the branches with each other and provides a signal that passes via a filter (10). The filter provides the output signal that is fed back to the subtracter for constituting one of the terms of the difference via a feedback loop (12) comprising a filter spaced from a low-pass filter. #CMT# : #/CMT# Independent claims are also included for the following: (1) a method for processing a signal; and (2) a signal resulting from processing by a signal processing method. #CMT#USE : #/CMT# Used for processing a signal such as a position signal of an accelerator pedal of a motor vehicle and a signal coming from an accelerometer and representing acceleration and jerk, so as to provide a filtered version of the signal that represents an angular position and an angular velocity of the pedal. #CMT#ADVANTAGE : #/CMT# The device processes the signal having different frequencies in an inexpensive manner, while avoiding the need for the utilization of a microprocessor and numeric calculation and eliminating the problem of filtering of the signal. The device can be manufactured in an inexpensive manner, while increasing the number of non-linearity. The device is flexible and can be developed in an easy manner, while permitting to filter the signal in an asymmetrical manner. The device can be utilized without an offset compensation system, thus permitting to utilize a less operational amplifier and hence reducing the cost. The signal can thereby filtered in a symmetric or asymmetrical manner, thus permitting to process raising and falling edges in a different manner. #CMT#DESCRIPTION OF DRAWINGS : #/CMT# The drawing shows a structure of a non-linear filter utilized in a signal processing device. 4 : Subtracter 61, 62 : Processing branches 12 : Feedback loop `(Drawing contains non-English language text)`.
|
