PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a flaw detector constituted so as not only to enhance the detection stability of a flaw but also to certainly detect the flaw formed to a columnar body. SOLUTION: The robot body 10 of the flaw detector is a device which embraces the columnar body to rise, fall and revolve to detect the flaw formed to the columnar body and constituted of parallel link mechanisms 16 for holding the columnar body and a gas spring 22 for allowing pressing force with a set value to act on the parallel link mechanisms 16 regardless of a stroke quantity to apply the pressing force to the columnar body regardless of the diameter of the columnar body.
