An electrode film structure (10) is composed of a solid electrolyte film (1) made of a polymer material, and a fuel electrode (2) and an air electrode (3) stacked on the both sides of the solid electrolyte film. A fuel tank (11) is constituted by fixing a box-shaped container (12) to the electrode film structure (10). In the box-shaped container (12), an opening section is arranged on a plane facing the electrode film structure (10), and a flange section (13) is formed on the edge of the opening section. A cover plate (15) is attached to a rear plane of the air electrode (3) of the electrode film structure (10), a peripheral section (15a) of the cover plate (15) is bent along the outer circumference of the electrode film structure (10) and the outer circumference and the rear plane peripheral section of the flange section (13) to pinch the electrode film structure (10) and the peripheral section of the flange section (13). Thus, the box-shaped container (12) is fixed to the electrode film structure (10).
