A light emitting ball for a ball game, comprising a surface layer and a tube on the inside of the surface layer. A plurality of transparent or semi-transparent and elastic light emitting body mounting fittings formed of light emitting panels and light emitting body holding parts are disposed so that the light emitting panels of the light emitting body mounting fittings can be exposed from a roughly circular holes bored in the surface layer of the ball to the outside. The outer periphery of the roughly circular light emitting body holding part larger in diameter than the light emitting panel is fixedly held by the surface layer and the tube. A light emitting body insert port formed by crossing the surface of the light emitting panel is connected to a hollow part formed by crossing the light emitting body holding part so that a light emitting body can be detachably installed. Thus, the ball for the ball game capable of withstanding practical use even if the ball is hit by hand, kicked by foot, or hits a floor can be provided.
