A cell type parallax-barrier and a stereoscopic image display apparatus using the same are provided to manufacture barriers in cell units by using a liquid crystal panel. A liquid crystal unit(40a) includes pixels arranged in a matrix of a cell structure in order to form a vertical barrier or a horizontal barrier according to a predetermined control manner. A control unit(40b) controls the pixels in order to form a vertical barrier pattern or a horizontal barrier pattern. A layer plate part(30) is formed between the liquid crystal unit and a display module in order to separate the liquid crystal unit and the display module from each other. An upper plate part(50) is formed at the upper end of the liquid crystal unit. A polarizing film part(60) is formed at the upper end of the upper plate part in order to visualize a barrier according to the barrier pattern by controlling the polarizing angle of light.
