PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a transporting apparatus capable of detecting that a rack (specimen sample) is certainly transported to a specimen supplying position of a specimen processing apparatus. SOLUTION: The transporting apparatus 1 comprises a transversely feeding section 30 for transporting the rack 5 in a first direction (X1 direction) to specimen supplying position 2a or 3a of a first blood analyzing apparatus 2 or a second blood analyzing apparatus 3, transmission sensors 342a and 342b for detecting a transport position (first transport position 30c, second transport position 30d, and third transport position 30e) of the rack 5, and holes 343a-343g for detection for indicating the transport position capable of being detected by the transmission sensors 342a and 342b.
