A mobile communication terminal offering a menu selection function by using an operation recognition sensor is provided to enable a user to select a menu rapidly and to be applied to an operation of multimedia including a game, music regeneration or moving picture regeneration. An operation recognition sensor sets four different regions including the 3, 6, 9 or 12 o'clock direction, and recognizes the operation of a user. A program memory(202) stores a program for setting main menus matched with coordinates for each region set by the operation recognition sensor and offering the main menus and sub menus selected according as the user operates an operation recognition key. A key inputting unit(204) has plural key buttons including the operation recognition key for recognizing the operation of the user. An LCD(206) displays the main menus and the sub menus selected via the operation recognition key. A microprocessor(214) sets the main menus matched with the coordinates for each region set by the operation recognition sensor by using the operation recognition program, and makes the LCD(206) display the main menus and the sub menus selected via the operation recognition key according to the key inputting operation of the user.
