<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image forming apparatus capable of preventing a recording medium from being stained or wrinkled owing to sticking of excessive fixing liquid to the recording medium by removing excessive fixing liquid supplied to outside the range of the size of the recording medium without disordering a formed toner image. <P>SOLUTION: A fixing liquid removing means 44 removes only the excessive fixing liquid supplied to outside the size range of the recording medium 7 detected by a size detecting means without removing fixing liquid 8 supplied to the toner image formed on the surface of a transfer fixing roller 42, so that the excessive fixing liquid supplied to outside the size range of the recording medium 7 is removed without disordering the formed toner image to prevent the recording medium 7 from being stained or wrinkled owing to the sticking of the excessive fixing liquid thereto. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT |
