PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a rotary positive electrode X-ray tube device having a structure capable of directly radiating heat of a target of a rotary positive electrode to an envelope by heat conduction. SOLUTION: A space 62 with both ends 66 and 72 closed is formed between a peripheral surface 50 and a back surface 58 of a target 28 of a positive electrode 16 and a cylindrical part 44 and a positive electrode-side disc part 46 of a large diameter part 38 of an envelope 30 facing thereto (hereinafter this range is referred to as a target cooling area 65); and a liquid metal 64 is filled in the space 62. Surfaces of the target 28 of the target cooling area 65 and the envelope 30 in contact with the liquid metal 64 are formed of a metal material easily adaptable to the liquid metal 64; and a material 76 repelling the liquid metal 64 is thinly applied to the inside surfaces of both the ends 66 and 72 of the space 62.
