PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a measuring method of the adsorption amount of a reagent capable of measuring the adsorption amount of the reagent adsorbed by an inorganic powder without using mechanical stirring means. SOLUTION: In the measuring method of the adsorption amount of the colorimetric reagent adsorbed by the inorganic powder, the inorganic powder being a measuring target is formed on a filter member, which does not permit the inorganic powder to pass but permits a colorimetric reagent liquid to pass, in a laminar state and the adsorption amount of the reagent is measured from the absorbance of the colorimetric reagent liquid 5 after passed through an inorganic powder layer 3. The adsorbance of the colorimatric reagent liquid 5 after passed through the inorganic powder layer 3 is measured, for example, by a method for measuring the absorbance as the average absorbance of the whole of the passed liquid, a method for calculating the absorbance from a breakthrough curve, a method for circulating the colorimetric reagent liquid 4 after passage to the inorganic powder layer 3 and measuring the absorbance after the elapse of a definite time or a method for again circulating the colorimetric reagent liquid 4 after the measurement of the absorbance while measuring the absorbance of the colorimetric reagent liquid 4 after passage with the elapse of time or continuously and calculating the equilibrium absorption amount becoming constant in absorbance.
