PRODUCT WITH INSULATING FILM HAVING EXCELLENT METAL GLOSS AND GOOD DURABILITY

This invention provides a product which has excellent metal gloss and insulating properties and is durable. The product comprises a thin film of an insulating metal, an insulating resin film covering the surface of the thin film, and a metal oxide film, having a high barrier function against water vapor and oxygen, provided on the backside of the thin film. For example, a base material, a release layer, a protective layer formed of an insulating resin, a thin film of an insulating metal, a metal oxide film, and an adhesive layer may be stacked in that order to form a transfer foil. A thin film of Sn or a thin film of In is particularly useful as the thin film of an insulating metal. A thin film of aluminum oxide or a thin film of silicon oxide is usable as the metal oxide film. In particular, even when the thickness of the thin film of aluminum oxide is as small as about 5 nm, excellent effect can be attained and a product, which does not undergo any change even in a high-temperature, high-humidity test under conditions of 65ºC × 95% × 24 hr or 60ºC × 80% × 96 hr, can be provided.
