PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image forming apparatus for generating a replica including a mode of an original with no complex operation required, by automatically determining the mode of an output base on the original image that has been read. SOLUTION: The image forming apparatus comprises an original reading part for reading an original, an original mode judging part which extracts a discriminative part of the read original to identify a process that has been applied to the original, a process determining part for determining process on the output based on the identification, and a process part to apply a determined process on the output.
