PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method and an apparatus for rolling divided bread dough to each predetermined amount using a forming cup even if using no eccentric mechanism for shifting the eccentric magnitude in making an eccentric revolution of the cup. SOLUTION: The method for rolling dough comprises the step of normally rolling the dough by eccentrically revolving the forming cup unidirectionally (in the direction of normal revolution) and the step of revolving the cup in the reverse direction to reduce the tackiness between the dough and the inner wall surface of the cup.
