<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a music reproduction device capable of choosing a piece of music, in correspondence with a walking step which changes dynamically. <P>SOLUTION: The portable music reproducing device A comprises a search part 1 for searching a piece of music by matching rhythm information for search obtained by walking pace analysis and rhythm information of a piece of music in a music DB (1a); a music database 3 for storing pieces of music to be searched; a list of pieces of music 5 for listing a plurality of pieces of music of the rhythm close to the inputted rhythm (5a); a music reproducing part 7 for choosing a piece of music from the list and reproducing it (7a); a walking step detecting part 15 for detecting a walking step (15a); and a walking step analysis part 13 for analyzing an inputted walking step and extracting the rhythm to be searched (13a). Rhythm information 11 for search from the walking step analysis part 13 is inputted to the search part 1. Rhythm information 3a-4 for search of music data 3a is obtained by conducting music analysis 8 of the music database 3.
