<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image signal processing apparatus whereby the image quality is not spoiled in the case of compressing image data while attaining high efficiency, the processing does not take much time, processing close to one pass can be attained, the capacity required for a compression rate/a band/a storage in the worst case can be guaranteed, and the random access performance cannot be spoiled, and an image signal processing method and a camera system. <P>SOLUTION: A data signal processing section 15 includes a band guarantee companding section 200 at an interface part with an image memory 17, and band warrant companding section 200 divides image data into higher-order bits and lower-order bits, adopts a prescribed compression system for each of the bit divisions to carry out compression processing, so that the image quality is not spoiled while guaranteeing a memory bus band, the processing does not take much time, the processing close to one pass is attained, the capacity required for banding and storage is provided, and the random access performance can be ensured. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT</p> |
