Novel bicyclic inhibitors of hormone sensitive lipase

Benzotriazoles of formula (I) which show an inhibitory effect on hormone sensitive lipase are disclosed, wherein R1 to R8 and n are as defined in the specification. A process for the preparation of these benzotriazoles of formula (I) is also disclosed. These compounds are suitable for the treatment of non-insulin-dependent diabetes mellitus, diabetic syndrome and syndrome X.
