PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for manufacturing a honeycomb molded body which can use effectively a molding raw material which is filled up in a molding machine. SOLUTION: The method for manufacturing a honeycomb molded body comprises: a step of filling up a molding raw material 5 into the inside of a molding raw material passage 2 in which a mouthpiece 3 for molding honeycomb molded body is arranged at one end thereof; a step of carrying out the extrusion molding of the molding raw material 5 filled up from the mouthpiece 3 for molding honeycomb molded body, to obtain a honeycomb molded body 10, wherein the screening device 4 for filtering a foreign substance contained in the molding raw material 5 is arranged near the mouthpiece 3 for molding the honeycomb molded body inside the molding raw material passage 2, and the operation of reducing the frictional resistance between the inner surface of the molding raw material passage 2 and the molding raw material 5 is performed to obtain a honeycomb molded body 10.
