PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a small-size steam generator capable of continuously stably supplying a constant amount of steam by measuring a boiling water surface inside a can body of the steam generator generating steam under atmospheric pressure in a stable state to continuously keep the steam generation the constant amount. SOLUTION: In this small-size steam generator A<SB>1</SB>, a sensor tube 12 including water level sensors 12<SB>H</SB>, 12<SB>L</SB>is hung down from a lid plate 11a of the can body 11, a heating heater 14 is installed to the can body 11 in a prescribed level in a position wherein the heating heater 14 does not contact with the sensor tube 12, the tip 15 of a water supply pipe 15<SB>L</SB>is provided inside the lower end of the sensor tube 12 projectingly from a lower lid plate 11b, heating is performed by the heating heater 14 by a signal of the water level sensor 12<SB>L</SB>, a small amount of water is intermittently supplied from a water storage part 20 by a signal of the water level sensor 12<SB>H</SB>, and the constant amount of steam is continuously stably supplied from a steam spout 18.
