<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image forming apparatus capable of continuing a printing operation or a warmup operation without discontinuing or initializing the operation of the apparatus when a voltage drop is detected in a power source input section. <P>SOLUTION: The image forming apparatus includes: an image forming part that performs image forming operations in a first operation mode or a second operation mode by which external power source current is decreased compared to that in the first operation mode; a power source voltage detecting part by which detection is made whether an externally supplied power source voltage is a normal operation voltage that is higher than a predetermined threshold voltage or a drop voltage that is below the threshold value; and an image formation control part that switches the operation to the second operation mode when the power source voltage detecting part detects a drop voltage during the operation in the first operation mode. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT |
