PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a plated steel sheet for a battery container enabling to provide a battery having excellent discharging characteristics without forming a conductive layer mainly formed of graphite on an inner face of the battery container, and provide the battery container using the plated steel sheet, and battery using the battery container. SOLUTION: After applying nickel plating on a side to become the inner face of the battery container of a steel plate, dispersion plating for dispersing fine carbonaceous substance and/or ultra-fine carbonaceous substance on a matrix of nickel or nickel alloy is applied thereon, and then, silver plating is applied thereon to form the plated steel sheet as the plated steel sheet for the battery container.
