PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a mold releasing agent that can prevent foaming at a time of coating even when a non-solvent-type silicone-based mold releasing agent is being applied, and can form a mold releasing agent layer excellent in external appearance and in peeling property. SOLUTION: The mold releasing agent is one wherein a non-solvent-type silicone-based mold releasing agent capable of forming a mold releasing agent layer by coating in a solventless condition is used, and comprises both a non-solvent-type silicone-based mold releasing agent and a solvent having lower surface tension than that of the non-solvent-type silicone-based mold releasing agent. A thermosetting silicone-based mold releasing agent and an ionizing radiation-setting silicone-based mold releasing agent are suitably used as the non-solvent-type silicone-based mold releasing agent. A solvent having lower surface tension than 21.2 mN/m, especially hexane or heptane is suitably used as a solvent having lower surface tension than that of the non-solvent-type silicone-based mold releasing agent is used. Content of the solvent having lower surface tension than that of the non-solvent-type silicone-based mold releasing agent can be 0.1-3 wt.% to the total amount of the mold releasing agent.
