PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a disk playback device enabling a user to play a DVD in a preset voice or caption, in e.g., Japanese with no caption when a vehicle is running. SOLUTION: A voice, a caption, and a menu language (e.g., reproducing voice = Japanese, caption = none, menu language = Japanese) during vehicle running are prestored. In the stopped state of the vehicle, playing is started by a voice, a caption and a menu language default-set in a DVD.
