<p>Disclosed is an apparatus for detecting a transmission mode for a digital broadcasting receiver. The apparatus for detecting the transmission mode for the digital broadcasting receiver includes a TPRS generation unit (251) for generating reference TPRS of each transmission mode, a correlation unit for calculating correlation values of the reference TPRS and the demodulated signal, a highest point detection unit (255) for detecting the highest points of each calculated correlation value, and a mode detection unit for discriminating the reference TPRS corresponding to the demodulated signal by using the highest points, and detecting the corresponding transmission mode. The apparatus for detecting the transmission mode for the digital broadcasting receiver precisely detects the transmission mode and has excellent performance even in poor channel environment.</p> |
