METHOD FOR MANUFACTURING 3D FACIAL EXPRESSION ANIMATION USING FEATURE POINT ALGORITHM

A method of generating 3D facial expression animation using a feature point algorithm is provided to generate 3D facial expression animation through a software method using the feature point algorithm without using a special modeller or an expensive motion capture device. A previously stored 3D standard face model is read and displayed in response to a request for generating 3D facial expression animation(S210,S220). A plurality of feature points that affects the generation of facial expression are displayed on the 3D standard face model according to a user's choice(S240). An arbitrary feature point among the plurality of feature points is selected and moved(S250). Vertexes affected by the selected feature point are moved in the form of cosine curve(S280).
