PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a solid-state imaging apparatus mounted in a digital camera, a mobile phone, or a portable personal computer, in which dust-proofing and impact resistance for a lens are enhanced without degrading design concept such as miniaturization, light weight and simplification. SOLUTION: The apparatus includes: a lens 4; a lens holder 5 for holding the lens; and a base member 6 for holding the lens holder 5 such that the lens holder 5 is movable to a lens withdrawing position and a lens extending position along the optical axis of the lens 4. When the lens holder 5 is in the lens withdrawing position, the lens holder 5 holds the lens 4 so as to abut on the base member 6.
