METHOD FOR TREATING PROCESS WATER, AND METHOD FOR PRODUCING PULP, PAPER

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To clarify process water in a method for treating the process water containing pulp filaments and used in a process for producing pulp and paper, consequently producing pulp and paper each having a high quality. SOLUTION: This method for treating the process water is characterized by treating the process water used in a process for producing pulp and/or paper and having a pulp filament content of≤50 wt.% based on the total solid content by cavitation formed with a liquid jet, and then reusing the treated process water in the process for producing the pulp and/or the paper. The method for treating the process water enables the peeling of stain substances adhered to the pulp fibers and/or inorganic particles, the decrease of the adhesiveness of the stain substances and the reduction of microorganisms.
