PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a groove protection device capable of preventing a groove part from being damaged and removing it easily when lifting the device by a crane and capable of providing it inexpensively and conveying it easily. SOLUTION: This groove protection device includes a first protection member 20 provided with a lower end supporting part 21 for supporting a lower end of a pipe pile when the pipe pile is pushed over on its side and a first end face supporting part 22 for supporting the pipe pile when lifted by a part of an end face and attached adjacent to a pipe wall at the lower end of the pipe pile and an end face continuous with the pipe wall and a second protection member 30 provided with a second end face supporting part 31 providing the groove part between the first end face supporting part 22 and the second end face supporting part 31 to support the pipe pile when lifted together with the first end face supporting part 22 and attached adjacent to a pipe wall of the pipe pile and an end face continuous with the pipe wall and in opposition to the first protection member 20. Length of the groove part protruding from an end face in the direction of length of the pipe pile is smaller than thickness of the first end face supporting part 22 and thickness of the second end face supporting part 31.
