PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a washing method capable of effectively performing washing and suppressing generation of bubbles when a steel sheet containing 1% (mass%) or more of Si is washed with an alkaline washing liquid. SOLUTION: The steel sheet containing 1% or more of Si is washed by performing spraying, different electrode opposed type spray type electrolysis, brush type washing, washing with water in the order using the alkaline washing liquid. After the recovered washing liquid is preferably left to stand in an intermediate tank, it flows into a circulation tank in the state that the bubbles are allowed to float and the bubbles are compressed and volume-reduced to separate it.
