METHOD FOR PRODUCING POLYLACTIC ACID CROSS-LINKED FOAM

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a polylactic acid foam satisfying heat resistance and flexibility important in carrying out fabrication such as vacuum forming or compression forming. SOLUTION: A method for producing the polylactic acid cross-linked foam is characterized as follows. The polylactic acid cross-linked foam is obtained by using a polyfunctional allylic cross-linking aid in an amount of 1-7 pts.wt. based on 100 pts.wt. of a resin composed of a polylactic acid having≤1.2 cross-linking index and a biodegradable polyester resin having -0.2 to 0.2 cross-linking index other than the polylactic acid. The gel fraction of the resin cross-linked by irradiation with ionizing radiation within the range of 1-40 kGy is≥10%. COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT
