<p>The invention relates to a stanchion (2), in particular for tarpaulin-covered vehicles for transporting unit loads. Said stanchion can be guided by its upper end (7) along an upper linear longitudinal structure (9) that is located on the body or chassis of the transport vehicle (1) by means of an upper displacement element (8) and can be fixed in a given position (19) on said body or chassis by means of fastening elements (14; 15). The inventive stanchion (2) is characterised by a substantially rectilinear central section (6), equipped on at least one side with projections (20a, 20b, ...) for securing the longitudinal face of the unit loads. The advantage of a stanchion of this type (2) is that there are no insertion battens to be removed. The preferably bar-shaped projections (21) can be displaced together with the stanchion (2) towards the driver's cab or towards the rear of the transport vehicle (1). As the invention facilitates lateral access to the loading platform (5), it is particularly suitable for short-haul traffic, where considerable time is spent on numerous loading and unloading operations, for example, in the automobile industry.</p> |
