The method involves modeling a vehicle, and simulating a malfunctioning of the units of the vehicle and the subsequent behavior of the vehicle from a mathematical virtual model for obtaining simulation data. Diagnostic data frames are calculated from the simulation data and are entered in a fixed part of a vehicle operation diagnostic system. Output states of the fixed part are compared with the simulated malfunctioning for validating the development of the system. An independent claim is also included for an equipment for developing a vehicle diagnostic system and implementing a method for developing a vehicle operation diagnostic method. |
