PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a sheet supplying device capable of exerting the sheet separating effect owing to blowing of the air to the sheets without being influenced by sheet movement (slipping off) along inclination even if the sheets are supported in the inclined condition. SOLUTION: The sheet supplying device is equipped with a hand feed tray 20 where sheets 30 are supported in inclination so that the downstream in the sheet supplying direction Y is lower than the upstream, a sheet supplying unit 21 to supply one by one the sheets 30 supported by the hand feed tray 20, and an air blowing unit 22 to blow air to the side ends of the sheets 30 approximately perpendicularly intersecting the sheet supplying direction Y.
