PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a toggle type mold clamping device capable of shortening a pipe and operating a mold clamping cylinder and other actuator at the same time. SOLUTION: The toggle type mold clamping device of an injection molding machine having the flange type mold clamping cylinder on the rod side attached to the backward surface of link housing comprises a drive unit comprising a two way delivery pump supplying a working oil to the mold clamping cylinder, a servo motor rotating the two way delivery pump wherein, the drive unit comprising a refilling and recovering circuit part provided with a tank and a valve, supplying a deficient amount of the operating oil to the two way delivery pump when the mold clamping cylinder is operated and making a surplus amount of the operating oil flow into the tank and a solenoid selector valve which connects an oil chamber on the rod side of the mold clamping cylinder selectively to an oil chamber on the head side or the two way delivery pump is installed on the rod side flange of the cylinder or the link housing.
