<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a film which comprises a (per)fluorinated ionomer, reduces the changes of size in the two crossing directions X and Y on the plane of the film, and simultaneously leaves integrity after subjected to a stability test in an aqueous alcohol liquid. <P>SOLUTION: The ionomer film formed from a sulfonic (per)fluorinated ionomer having sulfonic groups at the terminals of short side chains (SSC), 700 to 1,600 g/eq equivalent, and side chains of formula: -O-CF<SB>2</SB>-CF<SB>2</SB>-SO<SB>3</SB><SP>-</SP>M<SP>+</SP>(M is H or an alkali metal) reduces the changes of the size in quantities less than 15% in two crossing directions X and Y on the plane of the film, when the ionomer film is vacuum-dried at 105°C for one hour, immersed in deionized water at 100°C for 30 minutes, and then measured, and leaves integrity after immersed in a water/ethanol mixture liquid containing the alcohol in an amount of 40 wt% at 50°C for 22 hours. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI |
