DEVELOPING DEVICE AND IMAGE FORMING APPARATUS

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a developing device and an image forming apparatus which form a high-quality image by preventing the occurrence of development ghost due to insufficient supply of a developer to a developing roller and by preventing suppression of temperature rising in the developing device.

SOLUTION: The developing device 4 is provided with: a developer supply roller 45 which is disposed above a developer agitating carrying member 34 and in a downstream side in a developer carrying direction; a developer guide member 46 which is laid between the developer supply roller 45 and a developing roller 41 and accumulates and guides the developer carried by the developer supply roller 45 toward the developing roller 41; a top cover 51 which is disposed above the developer guide member 46 and is made of a nonmagnetic material having a high thermal conductivity; and a cooling means 52 for cooling the top cover 51.
