The present application is directed to provide a marking film on which an image is formed with a toner containing a sublimable dye wherein the image has a high color density and clearness. A marking film comprising a receptor film having a surface as a toner-receptive surface, an image formed on said surface of the receptor film with a toner containing a sublimable dye, and a light-transmitting protective layer which is fixedly provided said surface of the receptor film on which said image is formed, in which the light-transmitting protective layer is heat-treated after it is fixedly provided on said surface of the receptor film.
