<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a character input unit which provides easily-understandable correspondence relationship between an entered character and the operation and therefore provides ease of operation. <P>SOLUTION: The character input unit 1 includes: a first key 2 configured to enter first key entry information through the depression in a first direction; a second key 3 configured to enter second key entry information through the depression in a direction opposite to the first direction; and a character determining section 13 for determining an entry character on the basis of a combination between the first key entry information and the second key entry information when detecting the first key entry information and the second key entry information within a prescribed period. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT |
