摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an ink jet recording material of which the ink absorbency, the glossiness, and the whiteness are favorable, and wherein a natural winding curl is less liable to occur. SOLUTION: At least on one surface of a resin coated paper for which a resin coated layer is provided on both surfaces of a base paper, at least one layer of an ink-accepting layer is provided for this ink jet recording material. In this case, the ink-accepting layer contains an inorganic particle of which the mean primary particle diameter is less than 100 nm, and a hydrophilic binder. In such an ink jet recording material, the thickness of the base paper is 70 to 200 μm, and the Canadian standard freeness degree which is specified in JIS-P8121 of the total pulp is 120 to 420 ml. Also, the base paper contains a white pigment of which the mean particle diameter is 0.3 to 10 μm by 2 to 30 mass% of the solid portion of the total pulp. The thickness of the resin coated layer is 5 to 25 μm for both surfaces. Then, the resin coated layer for the surface on which the ink-accepting layer is provided contains the white pigment, of which the mean particle diameter is 0.1 to 1 μm, by 12 to 25 mass% of the solid portion of the resin.
