PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electrophotographic toner which is excellent in dispersibility of a crystalline resin and is excellent in both of low-temperature fixability and durability and a method for manufacturing the same. SOLUTION: The electrophotographic toner is obtained by using a toner composition containing raw materials containing the crystalline resin, a non-crystalline resin and a colorant and a powder derived from the raw materials and by a method having a melt kneading process, a cooling process, a pulverizing process, a classifying process, and a surface treating process, wherein the content of the crystalline resin in the toner is 5 to 50wt%. and the volume medium particle diameter of the powder derived from the raw materials is 0.5 to 8μm.
