摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a sequential decoding apparatus and a method which reduces an amount of operations in a decoding process, and improves a communicative reliability by a receiving diversity, in a MIMO transmission system which combines a SDM transmission system and a STOBC transmission system. SOLUTION: It utilizes that a MIMO channel coefficient matrix H has a partial orthogonality by performing an independent STOBC coding in a transmitter. By this orthogonality, a decoding which does not need an inverse matrix operation can be performed, and furthermore, the amount of operations is reducible while obtaining the receiving diversity, since a sequencing and successive decoding in a decoding process can also be simplified.
