The switch has an electromagnetic core (3) striking a plate (21) made up of non-magnetic material and remaining on the plate when the core is pushed to its initial position by a stressing force of a return spring (4) when a field coil (2) is not excited. The plate is connected to a pad unit (20) made up of rubber by inserting a central protrusion of the pad unit into the central hole of the plate by force. The pad unit is fixed between an inner wall (7a) of a switch box (7) and a stop unit (5) by sandwiching an outer periphery (20a) of the pad unit between them. The pad unit and the plate are received in a hollow space formed in the stop unit.
