A method and an apparatus for measuring load of a vehicle is provided to improve correction and reliability by installing position and distance measuring units measuring the position of the moving unit and the distance from the moving unit. A sensor includes a cylinder unit whose one side is connected to an air spring(21) of a vehicle; a moving unit containing a magnetic substance and moving along the cylinder unit by the air pressure from the air spring; a position measuring unit(27) measuring the location of the moving unit by using the change of an electromagnetic field irradiated from the moving unit; and a distance measuring unit(26) installed at one end of the cylinder unit to measure the distance from the moving unit by using the change of the electromagnetic field. An elastic body is formed to recover the moving unit to the predetermined reference position according to the decrease of the pressure.
