PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a snow melting device for a roof, which is arranged on a roof main body, functions to melt or prevent formation of cornice or icicle at an eaves edge, and contributes to enhanced snow melting effect of the entire roof, to thereby cut fuel costs, electricity charges, maintenance costs, etc. SOLUTION: The snow melting device is set up in the following manner. Firstly, roofing materials each having a projection and a recess are mounted on an upper surface of the roof main body beginning from a ridge side to an eaves edge side, and a pair of water circulating main pipes are set on the ridge side of the roof main body. Further, heat radiation circulating pipes are arranged in spaces defined by the projections of the respective roofing materials, and ends of the heat radiation circulating pipes are connected to the main pipes, to thereby implement circulation of warm water on the roof main body. Then a folding portion of each pair of the heat radiation circulating pipes is protruded from the eaves edge by an effective length. Additionally, a single heat radiation circulating pipe is extended to meander on a roof side area, and meandering portions outside the roof are protruded outward by an effective length.
