PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prepare an album cooperatively with two cameras whose capabilities are different. SOLUTION: Image information is transmitted from a digital camera incapable of preparing any album, and an album is prepared by a digital camera capable of editing an album, and the album is returned, thereby even the digital camera incapable of preparing any album can display the album. Even when the path name of transmitted image data is changed, the history change remains, so that it is possible to correct the path name written in a structured document by referring to the change history at the time of preparing an album. Thus, it is possible for the other party to display an image in the album by using an image owned by himself or herself by transmitting the corrected structured document without returning the transmitted image data. Also, it is possible to entrust a process for replacing a path name in the structured document to the digital camera at the destination of transmission by referring to the change history by transmitting the album and the change history.
