<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a dye-sensitized photoelectric conversion element capable of providing high photoelectric conversion efficiency when a dye using, as an adsorption radical, an acid functional group such as an carboxylic acid easy to form an aggregate is used as an sensitizing dye. <P>SOLUTION: This dye-sensitized photoelectric conversion element has an electrolyte layer 4 between a semiconductor electrode 2 with the sensitizing dye adsorbed thereto and a counter electrode 3.
