PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a technique capable of appropriately determining an interference between an original virtual object and a copy virtual object. SOLUTION: A system and method for image processing comprises the steps of: excluding the copy virtual object from a target for calculating an interference with the original virtual object; setting the copy virtual object satisfying a designated condition as a target for calculating an interference with the original virtual object (S303 and S304); and calculating an interference with the original virtual object only for the virtual object which is set as a target for calculating an interference with the original virtual object.
